THE CONTRIBUTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS TO THE MARKET APPROPRIABILITY OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY: A SCOPE REVIEW
Keywords:
Appropriability, Innovation, Intellectual PropertyAbstract
The aim of this study is to identify the extent to which intellectual property rights favor the appropriation of innovative activity in the market and the gaps in the process. Through a systematic review of scope based on consultation of the Scopus and Web of Science databases, the retrieved articles were analyzed with data extraction and processing. 112 primary articles were analyzed and questions were answered regarding the vision of IPRs found in the literature, their role and influence in relation to innovative activity and a contemporary perspective, considering the entry of new players in the competitive market and the change from the paradox to open innovation.
