APLICAÇÃO TECNOLÓGICA DE PROBIÓTICOS EM COMPOSIÇÕES DE PRODUTOS DERMATOFUNCIONAIS: UMA REVISÃO

The use of probiotics in foods and beverages is a common practice due to its known biochemical characteristics. Its usefulness in the dermatological and beautifying field has been boosted in recent years, with a tendency to strengthen with an estimated budget of around US $ 716 billion in the global market in 2025. Thus, taking into account the need for constant biotechnological updating, this work aimed to carry out a technological prospection of patents deposited in the area of dermocosmetics. Using scientific and technological databases, nine patents were found and cataloged on the proposed theme. More than half of the researches found use microorganisms of the genus Lactobacillus subsp. and / or Bifidobacterium subsp. in the composition of their formulations. Indications corroborate the need for more research in order to amplify the use of probiotics and their metabolites as raw material in formulations and dermatofunctional products.
