STRUCTURED SUMMARY
Purpose of the research: This study sought to identify which management is necessary to focus teams of employees for their development, combining the methods and aiming at the fulfillment of the goals and objectives of the organizations.
Problem and Objectives: An organization must have efficient and committed employees willing to contribute to organizational goals, to satisfy the much more demanding market, which seeks better service, exclusivity and agility in its actions -, thus, the question that focuses this research: How is the role of leadership in the MPES performed? - Case study in an Agricultural in the city of Campo Limpo Paulista.
Methodological approach: An exploratory research with a qualitative approach was carried out, through structured interviews following a script, applied to the six employees in the chosen organization, seeking to verify the respondents' knowledge about management and how they are led; in order to collect the data necessary for their characterization; verifying what type of management is being exercised and showing the positive and negative points necessary for the improvement of a group of people in SMEs in the Agricultural sector in the city of Campo Limpo Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo.
Results Achieved: The study showed that the leadership styles in the analyzed trade are present: The “CS” is based, among the styles described, mainly on the three contingent dimensions of Fiedler as a specific method of management: relationship between leaders and followers; Task structure and; Position power. And it ended by verifying the manager's leadership over his followers has been well accepted, mainly due to the training, feedbacks and opportunities provided for employees to contribute in some way to the improvement of the company. The research shows that the proposed objectives were achieved.
Practical Implications: The methodology applied in this study contributed to the understanding of the leadership used in the company, together with the observation procedure, provided to identify the spirit of friendship, motivation and the will to always be learning, as well as the values ??and beliefs of the company focused on self-confidence and feeling fulfilled in what they do.
Contribution: This research contributed in some way to improve the discussions and expanded the knowledge based on empirical leadership and, above all, through the information collected, signal to the MSEs object of this research, about their positioning, guiding their actions to develop it the topic addressed in favor of its employees and in this way apply these results to its customers and suppliers.
