Resumo

Este artigo trata do estilo de liderança no gerenciamento de projetos de computação e o sucesso em projetos, o qual é pouco explorado na literatura. Dentro desse contexto esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre o estilo de liderança em projetos adotado pelas organizações e o sucesso obtido. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa foi baseada na literatura sobre liderança e sucesso em projetos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, que contou com uma amostra de 283 profissionais que atuam no gerenciamento de projetos em organizações brasileiras públicas e privadas. Entre os resultados obtidos destacam-se: (1) o estilo de liderança adotado pelas organizações brasileiras carece de aprimoramento e foi observado uma maior frequência de estilos de liderança com foco em pessoas do que com foco em resultados; (2) o sucesso em projetos foi obtido com mais frequência em relação às dimensões de negócio e de clientes; e (3) liderança com foco apenas em pessoas teve associação positiva com o impacto para a equipe, porém teve associação negativa com a dimensão de eficiência
