Tecnologias emergentes e a transformação da gestão da inovação
implicações para capacidades organizacionais e resultados inovativos

Tecnologias emergentes têm sido associadas a transformações significativas nos processos de inovação organizacional. No entanto, ainda são limitadas as evidências que sistematizam como essas tecnologias influenciam diferentes dimensões da gestão da inovação e quais fatores condicionam seus efeitos. Diante disso, este estudo tem como objetivo identificar e sintetizar as características da inovação em contextos de tecnologias emergentes, de modo a esboçar seus efeitos sobre dimensões centrais do processo inovativo, tais como capacidades organizacionais, práticas de inovação aberta, mecanismos de gestão do conhecimento e dinâmicas associadas à transformação digital. Para isso, foi conduzida uma revisão sistemática que objetivou identificar e caracterizar como as tecnologias emergentes têm impactado os processos de inovação de modo a conceber uma base de evidências que permita compreender em que medida suas características aproximam-se ou diferenciam-se dos modelos tradicionais de gestão da inovação, especialmente no que se refere a seus efeitos sobre aspectos-chave da gestão. Os resultados indicam que tecnologias emergentes impactam os processos de inovação de organizações para além de suas fronteiras. Observou-se também que essas tecnologias contribuem para o compartilhamento de infraestrutura para inovação; a coleta de dados e tomada de decisão em tempo real para processos de reconfiguração organizacional; a codificação do conhecimento tácito; a necessidade de aprendizado organizacional contínuo; e a criação de novos modelos de negócio. O estudo contribui para a literatura ao propor um esquema teórico que sintetiza a compreensão sobre como as tecnologias emergentes afetam o ambiente institucional e os Sistemas Nacionais de Inovação, potencializam práticas de inovação aberta, aumentam digitalmente as capacidades organizacionais, digitalizam a gestão do conhecimento, demandam novas competências organizacionais e contribuem para a geração de novos resultados de inovação, portanto evidenciando como tecnologias emergentes reconfiguram, interna e externamente, os processos inovativos em organizações.
